News U Can Use

Hi Everyone!!!  The show is going really well!  In the words of Loverboy I am ‘Lovin’ Every Minute Of It!’ Loverboy - Lovin’ Every Minute Of It!!  Initially it took a little getting used to the homeowners greeting me with a VERY reserved “hello” and a thinly veiled “evil eye”…watching my every move as I walk through their home..me–commenting on their choice of decor…One homeowner told me…you are like Leonard Nemoy—”In Search Of”…She was actually totally correct– when I go into the Sellers home I am ”In Search of”– peeling paint, missing moulding and odd odors waiting to be exposed!! I liken it to living in your home in the dark, thinking it looks great, until someone turns on the lights…and then WOW..actually POW you realize your space is a HISIM= A HOT MESS!  This is often my firsthand experience while I walk through some houses. Truth-be-told, I make every effort to mask my shock and sometimes even horror…as you can see from the attached visual there are times when my expression says it all!  As a Real Estate Expert, I always give a very honest yet “nicety”(nice but a lil nasty) critique… because my ultimate goal of the critique is to assist the seller in getting the house SOLD.  Usually once the make-over is done the final results displayed they(the homeowners) will often smile widely, embrace me and thank me for my initial harsh words. We then have a group hug sing Kumbaya and all is forgiven.  There are a few homeowners who are not quiet as easy to please…I consider that group to be the “tough-love-homeowners” but I’ll save those stories for another blog…The acronym for today is TSA…Throw Stuff Away!!!  (let me know if you succeed at this task (TSA) and why or why not).  Bye bye for now! :-) tmw
